ABOUT THE BOOK: The Yoga of Patanjali advocates regulated conduct, regulated exercise of the body and its vital processes, the methodical control of the will and
slow but steady and gradual growth of reason, as the indispensable preliminaries in the form of Bahiranga Yoga and higher practices of Dharana (concentration),
Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi as Antaranga (Internal) Yoga to the full and perfect spiritual development. It is emphasized that the physical, the moral, affective
(emotional and social) and the intellectual sides of life are developed simultaneously through adherence to the prescriptions and injunctions laid down in daily routine so
as to attain all round progress. Regulation and control do not suppress, but expand and these are the only ways of expansion (of macrocosmic consciousness to
macrocosmic level) and development of personality. Health and fitness is the concern of each and every person. The present work aims to enlighten the masses
about the concept of pain and pleasure, temporal and transcendental health, history and origin of Yoga, types of Yoga with special reference to Hatha Yoga and
Hatha Yogic practices, alongwith diet and meditation and usefulness of Yogic practices therapeutically. And life skills can be defined by several definitions, including: Life skills are defined as the capabilities that enable individuals to take adaptive and positive behavior that makes them able to deal with the events and challenges of everyday life and to participate in the modern world full of new challenges and handle everything from interactions with others to identifying and processing emotions. This is done through the promotion of positive personal behaviors, social adaptation, citizenship and positive attitudes at work. One of the most important problems that demand quick attention and solutions these days is the lack of life skills
for the new generation. This is because there is a lack of life skills in the output of educational institutions. As a result, many fail in their careers and personal lives due to
the absence of these skills they must have. Life skills education helps students build confidence in both communication and cooperative and collaborative skills,
provide them with tools important for development, find new ways of thinking and problem-solving and provide methods on how to socialize, make new friends and
recognize the impact of their actions and behaviors. Life skills also help students take action in situations where their parents or teachers may not be available and make
themselves take responsibility for what they do instead of blaming others. Hope this book will act as a catalyst to show the correct path to those people who have lost
the sight of knowledge.
